News Success Viktoria Wagner wins academy place with SWR Symphony Orchestra

Viktoria Wagner (viola class of Prof Andreas Willwohl) has won the audition for an academy place with the SWR Symphony Orchestra Stuttgart. Congratulations!

Viktoria Wagner, born in Heidelberg in 2000, has been studying viola at the Nuremberg University of Music since October 2019, initially with Prof Florian Richter and from 2022 in the class of Prof Andreas Willwohl.
She is a multiple first prize winner, both as a soloist and in chamber music at the German national competition Jugend Musiziert and the competition of the Tonkünstlerverband Baden-Württemberg. She is also a prizewinner of the King's Peak International Music Competition 2021 and received a Deutschlandstipendium (German public-private scholarship).

She has performed several times as a soloist in Germany and abroad, including with the Baden-Baden Philharmonic Orchestra. She was a member of the Baden-Württemberg State Youth Orchestra and the German National Youth Orchestra, where she performed under the baton of conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle and Kirill Petrenko.
Further musical inspiration came from master classes with Prof. Wilfried Strehle, Prof. Erich Wolfgang Krüger, Prof. Barbara Westphal, Prof. Jean Sulem and at the Kronberg Academy chamber music course.
