News Success Myriam Geßendorfer becomes section leader at the Orchestra Academy Bregenz

Myriam Geßendorfer (class of Prof Daniel Gaede) was successful in the audition and has been accepted into the Orchestra Academy of the Bregrenz Festival and the Vienna Symphony Orchestra as 2nd violin section leader. Congratulations!

Myriam Geßendorfer was born in Gräfelfing in 1996. She began her first violin lessons with Simone Michielsen in Puchheim in 2002.  Since 2013 she has been studying with Prof. Jakob Gilman at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich. In 2017 she began her bachelor studies at the Nuremberg University of Music with Prof Valerie Rubin, which she successfully completed in 2022. Since then, Myriam Geßendorfer has been studying for her Master's degree at the Nuremberg University of Music with Prof Daniel Gaede.

She has won several first prizes in the German "Jugend Musiziert" competition, both as a soloist and in chamber music.
She has received several scholarships and in 2020 she was awarded the Cultural Sponsorship Prize of the Sudeten German Landsmannschaft for Music and Performing Art

In addition to her performances as a soloist, Myriam Geßendorfer is also a passionate chamber musician. She was a member of the Festival Orchestra of Nations, a member of the LTG Young Soloists and the ODEON Symphony Orchestra Munich (also in cooperation with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra). She has also worked with the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra and the Georgian Chamber Orchestra Ingolstadt.
