News Success Marina Hatae wins audition with the Frankfurt Opern- und Museumsorchester

Master's student Marina Hatae (class of Prof Daniel Gaede) has won the audition for a permanent violin position with the Frankfurt Opern- und Museumsorchester. She will take up her position in September. Congratulations!

Marina Hatae was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1997. She studied with Prof. Akiko Tatsumi at the Toho University of Music in Tokyo, Japan and received her bachelor's degree with distinction in 2020. Since 2021 she is a Masters student with Prof. Daniel Gaede at Nuremberg University of Music.

She won the following prizes: 2nd prize at the OSAKA International Music Competition (Japan), 1st prize with string quartet at the Salzburg=Mozart International Chamber Music Competition (Japan).

She has played as a substitute with the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne and the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra. Various duo recitals and chamber music concerts with piano trio and string quartet complete her profile.

She has attended masterclasses with Prof. Zakhar Bron, Prof. Boris Kuschnir and Prof. Pierre Amoyal, among others. She has been an academy member of the Paul Hindemith Orchestra Academy since April 2023.
