The Conducting Class at the Nuremberg University of Music is led by Professor Guido Johannes Rumstadt. Here, young people study orchestral conducting in the classical subjects of symphonic music and opera. The curriculum (8 semesters Bachelor, 4 semesters Master) includes individual and group tuition in the main subject, as well as a "conducting internship" with a professional orchestra every four to six weeks.

The video shows excerpts from a workshop at the Sawallisch Academy in Grassau am Chiemsee, where a masterclass with works by Mozart, Lalo and J. Strauss took place in July 2022. This led to a further collaboration with Prof. Alfred Wachs from California and his American students.
