What can I expect in this study area?

Professional field for which the course qualifies

Based on a previous Bachelor's degree in Elemental Music Pedagogy or a comparable qualification, the course in its form for EMP graduates qualifies students for musical (instrumental and vocal) work with groups of children, young people, adults and senior citizens in extracurricular and school contexts, as well as for interdisciplinary project work with different target groups.
The teaching skills acquired in the Bachelor's degree in an additional instrumental or vocal subject are expanded and deepened accordingly. The acquisition of special didactic knowledge and practical experience in instrumental or vocal music-making with larger groups and in the area of so-called class music-making enables graduates to develop flexible concepts for mixed instrumental (large) group lessons, instrument-specific (small) group tuition or vocal work with children, adolescents and adults, in which they naturally apply principles of (elementary) instrumental and vocal pedagogy such as learning to make music, internal differentiation and body orientation.
