In addition to the prize money of approximately €1,400, Jiyeon has been invited to perform a work as soloist with orchestra at the opening concert of the Chuncheon International Early Music Festival 2025.
Jiyeon Bang studied recorder, early music and choral conducting in Korea. Since the academic year 2023/2024, she has continued her studies in Nuremberg in the master class of Prof. Jeremias Schwarzer. In November 2023, she became the first Asian musician to win one of the most important international recorder competitions, the Moeck SRP Competition in London.
