Music and Climate Change

on 04.11.2024, 14.15 - 15.45 hrs

What role do climate change and climate protection play in the world of music? How can music contribute to climate change mitigation? How can a university of music become a climate neutral institution?

Registration by e-mail to Prof. Dr Martin Ullrich

Creative Ecology – How can creativity and ecology be combined?

on 06.11.2024, 11:00 - 11:45 hrs

While we still largely adhere to 20th century conventions in the performance and reception of classical music, we are also facing unprecedented changes and challenges due to climate change. How can art and music, how can musicians in the phase of their studies and professional orientation, contribute to the future? These are questions that many people are asking right now. Of course, this event cannot provide answers – but we will try to look beyond the end of our noses and into the future with examples that will inspire and encourage.
