News Success Miriam Frind wins academy position with the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra

Master student Miriam Frind (class of Prof. Dr Reto Kuppel) has won the audition for an academy position with the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra. Congratulation!

Miriam Frind was born in 2001 and started playing the violin at the age of four. At the age of 12 she was accepted as a junior student at the Nuremberg University of Music in Nuremberg, where she studied with Prof. Dr Reto Kuppel.

After graduating from high school in 2018, she began studying violin with Prof Julia Schröder at the Freiburg University of Music and successfully completed her bachelor's degree.

She has already played as a substitute in the Basel Chamber Orchestra and the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra, and has even worked as a section leader in the Mecklenburg State Orchestra in Schwerin.

She has attended master classes with Lorenzo Lucca, Gerhard Schulz, Barbara Doll and Simone Zgraggen, among others, which have helped her to develop her solo and chamber music skills.

She is currently a Masters student at the Nuremberg University of Music, where she is continuing her studies with Prof. Dr Reto Kuppel.
