News Success Jiyeon Bang wins 1st prize

Recorder player Jiyeon Bang (class of Prof Jeremias Schwarzer) has won first prize at the Moeck SRP International Competition in London. This competition is considered to be one of the most important international competitions for recorder soloists. Congratulations to her!

Jiyeon Bang made her debut in Korea as a recorder player in 2011 at the Kumho Prodigy Concert Series organised by the Kumho Cultural Foundation. She is a graduate of the Korea National University of Arts and has won several international competitions, including 1st prize at the Korea Music Foundation International Music Competition, 3rd prize at the Yamanashi International Early Music Competition and 2nd prize at the Osaka International Music Competition.

Jiyeon Bang has been studying for a Master's degree in Recorder at the Nuremberg University of Music since October 2023.
