Qualifying exam

  • Main subject

    Artistic-practical exam
    Duration: 20-25 minutes
    A written programme must be brought to the examination.

    • awork from the renaissance or early baroque period, e.g. by Bassano, van Eyck, Castello, Fontana
    • a slow and afast movement from a high baroque sonata or concerto, e.g. by Corelli, Telemann, Vivaldi
    • two movements from a French suite, e.g. by Couperin or Dieupart
    • a work after 1960 that includes contemporary composition or playing techniques; an experimental work or an original composition/improvisation is also possible

The artistic Master's degree programme in Recorder prepares students for a future career in which they will mainly work as freelance artists. Graduates can work in various professional fields, for example as a soloist or ensemble member.
