News Success Prize winners of the LIONS music competition

On Saturday, 17 February 2024, the annual LIONS Music Competition (preliminary round Bavaria-North) took place at our university, this year in the clarinet category.

Two students from our university won prizes:

Marit Zimmermann (junior student in the class of Prof. Günter Voit) received the 2nd prize and Paul Mörsch (bachelor student in the class of Prof. Günter Voit) the 3rd prize.

A total of eight young clarinettists from the district of Bavaria-North presented a 20-minute programme to a jury of three (StD Stefan Hofmann, the competition's cabinet representative, Birgit Bohnert, BFS Bad Königshofen, and Felix Brucklacher from the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra) and an expert audience.

District Governor Tony Ilg, who was also in attendance, congratulated the young winners on their achievements and thanked the university for the many years of successful collaboration.
